The combination of the gamecode and game revision (officially the "Cassette Version" or "Remaster Version") gives you a unique ID for the software.

- A/B/C - normal software (B and C are used for "overflow", for when combinations of TGG run out)
- D = DSi-exclusive software
- H = DSiWare (system utilities and browser). not used on carts afaik.
- I = NDS and DSi-enhanced software with built-in infrared hardware.
- K = DSiWare (downloadable software). not used on carts afaik.
- N = part of the default gamecode NTRJ, so not really a proper value
- T = unknown (used in many games, according to gbatek)
- U = tool/utility software
- V = DSi-enhanced games
- Y = unknown (used in many games, according to gbatek)
II = title (often is an abbreviated version of the games title or internal project name, e.g. SM for Super Mario 64 DS)
R = the region the software is for
software type definitions based on those from gbatek

GGGG = gamecode
Z = unknown, pretty sure its always "N" but haven't checked
V = revision
DDD = probably something todo with the production run/date
